It's a different edition that we do not put on our pricing page that we call "whitelabel" edition. it's $50/worker + $50/tenant, but we can discuss more your use-case: https://www.windmill.dev/ruben-30min

we have a react and svelte sdk, and will guide toward customizing the frontend to you needs Otherwise, it's like normal windmill, just with your own frontend

What's the non profit ? And why would a non profit need whitelabeling ?
ESiteHoster

they want in-house development with self hosted version They provide solutions for government free of cost

I get that, but what is their issue with showing the windmill logo ? You can't have it both ways, it's either soemwhat free and we get the publicity or they have to pay the normal price

its the company policy and some legal issues
rubenf
rubenf14mo ago
Understood. Unfortunately our company policy is that we do not provide whitelabeling for free

ESiteHoster14mo ago
a but with label + multitenancy is very costly when it goes to big scale
rubenf
rubenf14mo ago
developing windmill and making it able to scale well is very costly as well
ESiteHoster
ESiteHoster14mo ago
is there any legal issue if we develop our front-end sdk and backend windmill with self-hosted version to do the Whitelabel scenario
rubenf
rubenf14mo ago
yes, this is not inline with our license and you will face legal repercussions

ESiteHoster14mo ago
how to solve this issue? with lowes cost
rubenf
rubenf14mo ago
At the moment, you will likely have to find a cheaper solution that is not windmill. We do not work for free, and I assume you do not either

if we buy a single white label package do we our own multitenancy?
rubenf
rubenf14mo ago
It doesn't work like that, we price per usage if you want to use windmill at scale, it will be expensive

Enterprise edition 16% Discount from $1200 /yr

Our whitelabelling at scale is expensive, so the only suggestion to make it cheap is to use the open-source edition without your own frontend. We're happy to serve those governments ourselves for free using our software I do not like the idea of ppl taking credit for our work as middlemen. If you want to do so, it will not be cheap. So it's probably better that the non profit change their policy

can you provide your fronted for opensource version

I'm closing the discussion, if you want to continue further, please send me a detailed email with your use-case, the name of the non-profit and the names of the governments they are trying to serve. Thanks my email is at ruben@windmill.dev
