Fwhat're the specs of your database?
RMost likely the database is the culprit and too small. When you say you are in trial, do you mean EE trial. If yes, we can setup a dedicated channel to help you diagnose but 8 native workers and 2 default workers is v small so most likely an infra issue.
ROn my dev setup, (so less efficient than release mode) with a single worker it takes 3s:

RTry putting it in the same availability zone as your workers
RWe've tested on a single worker instance with RDS and we are still at 3s. I noticed you canceled your Pro trial so I did cancel our call.
