Question about Licensing and AWS subscription
My company's group excited to get to use Windmill. We have been building some thing on the CE and are considering the move to EE. The problem is getting finance to OK a 3rd party expense is cumbersome and painful. We have the green light to spend on AWS though. So, I was thinking we could pay for the AWS Marketplace version, but we want to use ECS (and are currently doing so) and not EKS.
Would the AWS Marketplace version be workable if we are only deploying on ECS and not EKS?
Additionally, what does 10 seats, 4 compute units mean? For regular billing there are different seat types and different computer units.
Additionally: You should offer AWS Marketplace subscriptions for ECS. I bet we are not the only group in the world that can spend money on AWS but it's a hassle to go though procurement for anything else.

Hi @Blitline , thanks for the feedback. We will see if AWS accepts for the current offer to be ran on ECS rather than EKS. We don't mind on our side.
@rubenf I have tried subscribing using the AWS Marketplace, but I don't see ANY EE Licensing Key. How would I find it so I can add it to me ECS cluster?
@fjørdlek ^
we received it, the instructions normally say to contact us, can you share with us your email at sales@windmill.dev
we will follow up with the key
will do
perfect, and yes, you can follow our documentation to set it up using ECS, We don't really care wether you use EKS or ECS, the license key is the same for both and you can just add it in your windmill UI -> instance settings
@Blitline if you could just in your email also send us your aws account ID so we're sure no one is trying to impersonate you 😄
we'll match it to the agreement on aws marketplace and send you the key right away
OK. One last quick question, will moving to the EE image erase our existing code, or should it be seamless (we will export all the stuff regardless).
it's going to be seamless, you will need to use the windmill-ee image though on ecs
@Blitline got your email, you should have received your license key! Ignore any automatic invoices you should receive. We're still in the process of automating the aws marketplace with our license management.
OK. Will do. Thank you!
