Well, for whatever reason we only see runs in the flows/script view "Previous runs", but when we filter for exactly the path of the script/flow in the Runs view then we do not see the actual runs, but only deployments of the script/flow.

Windmill's responsibility is not to spawn the worker itself but to play well with existing service orchestrator such as Kubernetes, ECS, Nomad or Docker Compose, and any IaC.

to my understanding currently it's not possible to run workers inside aws lambda or cloudflare workers?

Currently not and it wouldn't be workers but we could indeed have an sdk for python and typescript to be able to complete a job externally. The main issue with it is DX

It's still in our backlog but more priority is to make dedicated workers so flexible and easy that you don't need lambda/cf workers anymore

thanks for detailed answer - it makes sense. The usecase that I had in mind was to somehow use windmill as a queue/orchestrator that is able offload worker job to some external service like aws lambda or cf worker

Yes I get it, and it's a vlaid use-case but we think that for the majority of our customers, if dedicated workers was better, they would be better off using dedicated workers directly

there is a component Log by id that will display the logs of a job

it's not intended that you see mot much but it's really hard to make it work well in all 3 cases (disk, s3, no disk)
